BIO
I have worked in several city agencies over the past twenty-five years. I started my tenure working at New York City Transit Authority in the Revenue Department as an Associate Cashier, counting over one million dollars per day from the bus and train stations throughout the city. Afterward, I worked as a Clerical Associate III at Woodhull Hospital’s Obstetrics/Gyn clinic processing payments and intaking over one hundred patients per day. I came to the Department of Social Services (DSS), Human Resources Administration (HRA), and Department of Housing Services (DHS) in April 2004 and have been working in various capacities throughout the agency ever since.
My first position at DSS/HRA was in the Division of Accounts Receivable and Billing (DARB), processing Medicaid (MAP) and Cash Assistance (CA) recoupment payments as a Clerical Associate III. I was then promoted to a Principal Administrative Asssociate I at the Office of Child Support Enforcement, now the Office of Child Support Services, where I helped noncustodial parents find employment to resolve their outstanding child support payments.
In 2012, I came to the Office of Policy, Procedures, and Training as an Administrative Assistant to Ms. Regina Russ, for whom the training Center was renamed to honor her contributions after her passing. In 2019, I came to work in my current position as a training coordinator in the Office of Workforce Development, for which I assist in registration and preparation, and perform other essential duties to support training for the many social services provided by the entire agency.
